I don't usually like to drink, but I sometimes drink with my friends because I enjoy the atmosphere. We like to play drinking games and it’s really fun. Even though I lose most of the time, I usually substitute water for alcohol, so I don’t have to worry about getting too drunk. The reason why I substitute is because I don’t like getting blackout drunk or getting a hangover. While I don’t drink often, I enjoy the taste of Makgeolli and it doesn’t give me a hangover.

나는 보통 술을 마시는 걸 좋아하지는 않지만, 술자리의 분위기는 좋아해서 친구들이랑 가끔 마셔. 우리는 술게임하는 걸 좋아하는데 너무 재밌거든. 그리고 내가 많이 지긴 하지만, 술 대신 물을 마시는 걸 잘해서, 져도 취할 걱정은 없어. 물을 대신 마시는 이유는 내가 술을 마시고 필름이 끊기거나 숙취가 있는걸 정말 안 좋아하기 때문이야. 술을 자주 마시진 않지만, 막걸리는 맛있긴 하고 숙취가 없더라고.

I like to drink Makgeolli when I eat Pajeon. Especially on rainy days, Makgeolli and Pajeon come to my mind. Ah! After watching the movie Parasite, I was inspired to try sirloin ramdon with beer, and it was an unbeatable combination. You should try this combo next time. Just so you know, I’ve heard that people either love it or hate it.

나는 파전을 먹을 때 막걸리를 마시는 것을 좋아해. 특히 비가 올 때면 파전과 막걸리가 땡겨. 아! 영화 기생충을 보고 나서 채끝 짜파구리를 맥주랑 먹어봤는데, 잊을 수 없는 최고의 맛이더라고. 다음번에 너희들도 시도해봐. 참고로, 호불호가 좀 있다더라.
